gm. This is the application form and wiki for Suwon Sprint. A 3-day popup village bringing together Koreans and foreigners in the Paldal district of Suwon.
This is a casual spin-off of our past event, Sokcho Sprint. People had such a great time there that we wanted to do another one quickly. It will likely rain as we are in monsoon season. But we will make the best of it!
Use this as a quick guide for the week. But most of our coordination will happen in our private group chat (not created yet).

📋 Overview
- The intention of this popup village: create a temporary neighbourhood of Korean and foreigner remote workers that live, work, and have fun together in the central district of Suwon.
- July 8-10, 2026 (Wed–Fri), but many may choose to stay longer or come earlier as well (as has happened during Sokcho Sprint). This period is short, and may make the time seem more “intense” than your usual week, so please plan your work and non-optional obligations ahead of time.
- If you are staying over multiple days, you are encouraged to stay in the area around Suwon City Hall (수원시청), in south-east Paldal district (팔달구), so our close proximity can lead to easier meet-ups.
- There are two accommodation options:
- Book your own lodging. If you are a foreigner, Agoda will have the best rates.
- Apply for The Hyuil’s Workation program, as their accommodation partner is in our desired area.
- This may be difficult to book with foreigners. If you plan to go this route and are having difficulties, please contact Philip ASAP
- No participant limit. But we are limiting the group to friends and friends-of-friends. Everyone must be able to speak in conversational English, even if limited.
- This is a casual event with no program costs. Meals and other cost-bearing activities will be split amongst everyone that attended that activity. Transportation and accommodation is not covered.

These are the Suwon experiences we can do. We will co-ordinate doing these together in our private chat, depending on what people want to do and their availability.
Note that some activities, like archery, may not be available if it’s raining.
